Scotty’s Musings – Wednesday 17th June 2026

Good Evening fellow Rotarians!

It’s with mixed emotions that I sit here and write my last entry for the Bulletin as your President.

I have commented during the last 12 months often just how quick the time flew.  It has been my privilege and honour to serve as Rotary Club of Koo Wee Rup – Lang Lang President for the last 12 months and I thank the Club for having the faith in me to undertake the role.

The good news is President Elect Harold Keily is ready to hit the ground running and I know under his leadership we will have a great year and support him just as you have supported me!

Whilst this is our last official meeting tonight, we still have our Changeover Lunch at the Palace Hotel on Sunday 28th June.  It’s a partners and friends event so we would love to see you all there. RSVP to me by Monday  22nd June.

I will be attending the Pakenham Rotary Club Change over on Tuesday 23rd June and then the District Change Over on the 4th July.  Anyone wanting to attend these events please let me know as the RSVP dates are tonight for them.

We had our last Board Meeting last week and it was great to have President Elect Harold attend and lots of good discussion was had about moving forward.

It’s not that far now to Fathers Day and we will again be undertaking our Fathers Day BBQ Breakfasts at Lang Lang Primary School on Thursday 3rd September and Koo Wee Rup Primary School on Friday 4th of September.  These are great days to promote Rotary to different demographics and it shows us as People of Action!  Please put these dates in your calendar.

Don’t forget to book in for the Bowls Club dinner here on Friday 19th.  It’s a great social night and its great to be able to give something back to our meeting hosts.

I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday Night at the Bowling Club for our final meeting.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for Rotary.

Yours in Rotary,

Scott Hamilton
